COVID-19 : Visiting a patient






You will find below the recommendations issued by the Direction of CHIREC for the recommencement of visits from Tuesday 2 June 2020: 

General information:

- One visitor per day per person (see exceptions listed below), for a maximum of one hour.

- Please bring your own mask. Wearing a mask is mandatory for visitors from 12 years old, including in the room.

- Hand disinfection with a hydro-alcoholic solution is carried out at the entrance of the hospital and when entering and leaving the room.

- Visitors must be asymptomatic.

- Visitors are not allowed to use the sanitary facilities of the hospital rooms.

- Accompanying persons during the night are not allowed except in paediatrics, neontal care unit, maternity ward (if private room) and if the patient is disabled.

- Visitors with reduced mobility may be accompanied by one person.


Visiting hours: 

Delta Hospital

- From Monday ot Friday: 

  • 14h - 19h (16h - 19h in physical rehabilitation)

- Week-end:

  • 14h - 16h

St-Anne St-Remi Clinic

- Every day: 

  • 16h - 20h (intensive care unit: 15h - 16h)

Braine-l'Alleud Hospital

- From Monday to Friday: 

  • 14h - 19h30

- Week-end:

  • 14h - 16h 



Rooms in isolation: 

No visits for patients in isolation (COVID-19, measles, tuberculosis, chicken pox, ...).


Neonatal care units: 

- Delta Hospital: One adult per day is allowed. This adult may be accompanied by a sibling of the infant. 

- St-Anne St-Remi Clinic & Braine-l'Alleud Hospital: Only parents are allowed.


Maternity wards: 

- Only the partner.

- No children.


Paediatric unit: 

- Only the parents.

- No children.


Immunocompromised patients:

- Visits under authorization of the medical doctor in charge of the patient.


Psychiatry (St-Anne St-Remi)

- One visitor per day per patient, for a maximum of a 1/2 hour.

- From Monday to Friday: between 13h and 14h or between 18h and 20h

- Saturday and Sunday: between 13h and 16h


End-of-life patients: 

- Two people maximum, at the same time with no time limit.
