La Palière - A transitional day centre

Presentation

La Palière acts as a stepping stone, a place from which you are directed to other support structures.

The objective of this care are:

  • to welcome patients who are waiting to be admitted to hospital,
  • to offer an alternative to hospitalisation,
  • to reduce hospitalisation time if it cannot be avoided,
  • to provide outpatient follow-up on the objectives defined during a hospital stay,
  • to assess the patient so that they can be directed to a place where they can stay on a more long-term basis if necessary.

The aim is this approach is to help the patient to get back on track.

Who is eligible to attend?

La Palière is a day hospital that welcomes all adults, with the exception of people with an active addiction and/or a psychotic decompensation, for a maximum period of 6 months.

Therapeutic framework

A range of activities is offered that address the individual's cognitive and social spheres and their leisure activities.

The objective of all the activities is to mobilise the person and direct them to other places (that provide support, other day centres, leisure activities, etc.)

All of the activities are done as a group and are obligatory.
