Administrative formalities
When you are admitted, various administrative formalities are required.
The administrative liaison form, received during your consultation with your doctor, is automatically sent to the admissions department. Your administrative file is then opened, with the date of admission and your choice of room type (to be reserved if determined during consultation).
If any information is missing from your administrative file, you will be contacted by telephone by the Admissions Department no later than 2 days before your admission.
If you do not have Belgian or European social security cover (Belgian health insurance, European medical card, S2 form), please contact the International Patients Unit.
Documents to be provided
- Identification (identity card, passport or equivalent)
- Contact details of your General Practitioner
- The telephone number of the person to contact in an emergency
- Any document covering the cost of hospitalisation (For example, a request from a CPAS (public social welfare centre) or coverage by an insurance company).
- Any letter from your general practitioner requesting hospitalisation
- All medical documents concerning your state of health (blood group card, X-rays, results of examinations carried out, etc.)
- Your usual and/or recent medication
- Your certificate of incapacity for work (confidential form given to you by your mutual insurance company)

If you are not covered by Belgian health insurance or by an insurance provider, you will be asked to pay a deposit upon admission. Please note that only credit card payments are accepted.
