Saint-Anne Saint-Remi Maternity Ward

Ste-Anne St-Rémi Hospital welcomes you to its maternity unit !

At Ste-Anne St-Rémi Maternity Hospital, we are committed to providing you with personalized support throughout your pregnancy, birth and first moments with your baby. Our team of professionals, including gynecologists, midwives and anesthetists, will be there to support and guide you in a warm and reassuring atmosphere. We make a point of respecting your choices while guaranteeing the best care for you and your baby.

Our service

Preparation for birth and parenthood offers the woman and/or couple an opportunity to reflect on the arrival of the baby into the family.

Every family and every pregnancy is unique.

Our goal is to provide tailored tools to help you navigate your pregnancy, the birth, and the welcoming of your newborn in the best possible way.

This preparation is not a one-size-fits-all solution; it is a time for reflection, adjustment, awareness, and an opportunity to expand your knowledge and resources.

For this reason, we start with you—your questions, ideas, sensations, and more.

What We Offer

We offer 1 to 8 sessions (adjustable according to your needs) to cover various topics through a mix of listening, practical exercises, and information:

  • The First Meeting : A session to determine your needs, wishes, questions, fears, etc. Together, we decide how many sessions you’d like to attend. It’s ideal to schedule this first appointment at the start of the second trimester.
  • The Pelvis and Perineum : What is happening in my body?
  • Pain/Epidural : Let’s talk about it. When and why should I go to the hospital?
  • Recovery Between Contractions**: Breathing, relaxation, and welcoming the experience.
  • Pushing
  • When Things Don’t Go as Planned
  • Feeding Choices for My Baby - The first days with your baby, coming home, crying, siblings.

Building your resources and being informed helps you understand what is happening in your body or your partner’s body, and puts words to your concerns.

We are here to accompany you for a moment on your life’s journey.
