Travel medicine focuses on the prevention and treatment of health problems associated with international travel. Our specialists are there to provide you with personalised advice, vaccinations and preventive treatments tailored to your destination.

We cover a wide range of topics, from tropical diseases to advice on food safety and managing medical emergencies abroad.

CHIREC's Travel Clinic has been recognised by the World Health Organisation since 2009.

Our doctors give advice to travellers and are authorised to administer all the necessary and compulsory vaccinations and issue the international vaccination certificate (the famous ‘yellow booklet’):

yellow fever
rabies
encephalitis
meningococcus
etc.

Please note that following a ministerial decision, vaccination against yellow fever at CHIREC is only administered at the Delta Hospital (Boulevard du Triomphe 201 - 1160 Auderghem).

The Travel Clinic is available at the Delta Hospital, the Parc Léopold Medical Centre and the CityClinic Louise polyclinic, by appointment only, and offers convenient opening hours.

Consultations are open to anyone preparing a trip to an exotic country, as well as to anyone with a health problem returning from a trip to a distant country.

All visits to the clinic are communicated to the patient's GP by post.
