General podiatry

Podiatry is a paramedical discipline that studies the foot, posture, and gait. It treats foot pain, postural disorders, and their impact on the knees, hips, and back. It also plays a key preventive role.

The assessment includes:

  • Static postural analysis
  • Dynamic gait analysis
  • Clinical examination of the foot
  • Podo-barometric analysis if needed
  • Study of footwear and lifestyle habits

This evaluation makes it possible to precisely identify the origin of mechanical stress.

Custom insoles may be prescribed in cases of:

  • Plantar pain
  • Alignment disorders
  • Mechanical overload
  • Postural instability
  • Knee / hip / back pain related to foot support

They are always based on a complete clinical assessment.

Our podiatrists use several manufacturing techniques:

  • Thermoforming
  • CAD-CAM
  • 3D printing

The technique is chosen depending on the condition and lifestyle.
Some insoles can be designed and delivered on the same day when thermoforming is appropriate.

Conditions treated in podiatry

Postural analysis helps assess biomechanical imbalances that may cause pain or functional disorders. Custom orthopaedic insoles may be prescribed to correct foot support, improve posture, and provide long-term pain relief.
